A short story collection based on various fantasy prompts that I'll add to throughout the year.
-Lantern's Flame. When the coldest winter in living memory threatens to wipe out a small village, Bess is chosen to travel to neighbouring towns to see how they are faring. To reach these towns she must travel through the insidious forest with only her trusty lantern as her companion.
-Hanged Man's Song. A knight has to travel to a fearsome forest that harbours a woman who will not obey the New Rules the king has made. In order to find her location, the knight has to use necromancy on a hanged man's corpse.
-Teddy. A young boy has to confront the monster that lives in his room with only his stuffed toy to aide him.
-Timeless Love. A young woman with a potentially fatal illness meets the love of her life, and learns that for some time is not linear.
-Rats. A retelling of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, with a little twist.
-Empress, Star, Lovers. A young woman keeps drawing the same tarot cards over and over again.
-Cold, Dark Earth. The doctor's daughter has taken her refuge in a crumbling estate with her lover, much to the dissatisfaction of her father and the villagers, who have decided to come and fetch her back.

A Plaything for the Dragon Kings | Split Realms Book 1
❝Two dragons and their dirty little plaything.❞ I didn't have much to lose in the war of Dacva, but it left me scarred for the rest of my life. I'm just a red female dragon, scraping by from one day to the next in the Banished realm by doing petty crimes. It's enough for my meagre existence. But when I went from petty crimes to attempting an assassination on the sleeping princess out of sheer desperation, it didn't end well. When I'm caught and interrogated by the banished Kings, I must do everything to keep them from finding out the truth of my lineage. However, it gets harder with the two Banished Kings constantly breathing down my neck and taking too much interest in my scars and my scales. Before I know it, I'm their plaything, and they seem to find it hard to keep their hands off me and each other. As much as it tempts me to bare myself to them completely for them to claim every inch of me, I need to keep my secret. Once they find out about my lineage, it would turn into the bloodiest war the dragons have ever fought. I don't want another war, but with the Banished Kings wanting to possess more than my body, a war seems inevitable. How long can I stall the inevitable? I have fought a bloody war before; I could fight another if needed. But with my secrets unravelling and the fate playing a silly joke with me again, would the Kings accept me after learning my truth? Or would they reject me and toss me away after having their fill of playtime with me? ~ A stand-alone book. Themes: mxmxf (everyone does everyone), slow burn, smut (loads of it), dirty talking, knotting, breeding, reverse harem, romance, action, world-building and a purely character-driven plot with wholesome and humorous moments :) What's not in the book? - Grape. The Suggestion Box, Volume 3: One Thousand Words
In this edition of The Suggestion Box, I made some changes to the solicitations for each piece: (UPDATE: I have gone through and added, in parentheses, the genre of each "short story", if that helps! You'll see that there is a variety... be sure to read them all!) 1. Titles--All the segments have titles now, giving them a real sense of "short story." It also helped me differentiate between those lists that fit better as continuations for either my longer story arc (available here under the title "Serenity's Light") or separate entities. 2. Images--All segments came with an associated image from the outset, giving me added fuel for inspiration. 3. Word Limit--I set myself a goal of "one thousand words" to go with each list. Very often I exceeded it, but it also gave the opportunity for more development than just a quick "one-off," as it were. The "chapters" in this series are all strictly self-contained and (except in the case of a few) are unrelated to each other.
