A short story collection based on various fantasy prompts that I'll add to throughout the year.
-Lantern's Flame. When the coldest winter in living memory threatens to wipe out a small village, Bess is chosen to travel to neighbouring towns to see how they are faring. To reach these towns she must travel through the insidious forest with only her trusty lantern as her companion.
-Hanged Man's Song. A knight has to travel to a fearsome forest that harbours a woman who will not obey the New Rules the king has made. In order to find her location, the knight has to use necromancy on a hanged man's corpse.
-Teddy. A young boy has to confront the monster that lives in his room with only his stuffed toy to aide him.
-Timeless Love. A young woman with a potentially fatal illness meets the love of her life, and learns that for some time is not linear.
-Rats. A retelling of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, with a little twist.
-Empress, Star, Lovers. A young woman keeps drawing the same tarot cards over and over again.
-Cold, Dark Earth. The doctor's daughter has taken her refuge in a crumbling estate with her lover, much to the dissatisfaction of her father and the villagers, who have decided to come and fetch her back.

A long time ago, lived a handsome prince who ruled over the beautiful kingdom of Greyson. One stormy night, he upset a powerful witch, who then cursed him and his kingdom. She also starts to realize maybe the king is not as big of a monster as she thought. Even though most of Greyson is beautiful, something evil is lurking. Hopefully they learn about the threat before it is too late. This is a darker, steamier version of Beauty and the Beast. Strong sexual content, not suitable for anyone under 18.Complete

He's a very secretive fighter, but is clearly doing all he can to help with his cheery attitude. Once she steps out into the world she comes to find something incredible. Floating islands, magical creatures, mysterious plants. All she knows is there are creatures that appeared to be men after her, only they resembled more of demons. Her new companion, Kaulder, has set out on a mission to restore her memory and save her from these awful men. Giving the lost girl a name and companionship. He shows her the glimmering world around as they head off on a mission to find a seer to bring back what she had lost. He hoped this creature could heal her broken memory. But at what cost? The Suggestion Box, Volume 3: One Thousand Words
In this edition of The Suggestion Box, I made some changes to the solicitations for each piece: (UPDATE: I have gone through and added, in parentheses, the genre of each "short story", if that helps! You'll see that there is a variety... be sure to read them all!) 1. Titles--All the segments have titles now, giving them a real sense of "short story." It also helped me differentiate between those lists that fit better as continuations for either my longer story arc (available here under the title "Serenity's Light") or separate entities. 2. Images--All segments came with an associated image from the outset, giving me added fuel for inspiration. 3. Word Limit--I set myself a goal of "one thousand words" to go with each list. Very often I exceeded it, but it also gave the opportunity for more development than just a quick "one-off," as it were. The "chapters" in this series are all strictly self-contained and (except in the case of a few) are unrelated to each other. Enjoy!Complete
