Artemis Fowl and Co tests out one of Foalys new mashines and gets thrown back in the time of vikings. Everyone but Artemis lands as themselves, Artemis however lands as a Nightspike.
The twins are on partol at Dragons Edge, as they fly through the night they spot a crater. When they check it out they find a young nightfury, atleast theats what it looks like. When they study it more closely however they see some differences.
Can Artemis find his friends again and become human? Can the vikings notice the new dragon's strange behavior? Will Artemis ever get home as normal?
