“Where are we going? What was that? What is going on?” I asked, more of demanded my dad to answer.
He looked out the window at the passing cars. Finally he sighed and answered:
“You’re a demigod, Grace.” He said so serious it almost scared me. Almost.
I started laughing out loud. A demi god? Seriously?
“I’m serious, Grace!” He yelled.
“So am I, what the hell? You mean like I’m half god and half human? You mean to say my mother is a goddess?” I said smirking. This was not real.
My dad sighed in frustration. “Yes! Your mother is a goddess. And you are a demi god.”
“Dad...”
“I know it’s hard to process but I can explain some more.” He said soothing me.
“No it’s not that…”I said seriously. “You got it on with a goddess?! How does that even happen? What the f-“
