Melody Lewis, a Sophomore in high school, plans on performing in the annual town talent show. As she forms a band, she makes new friends along the way. Melody is just another teen who is a fangirl and loves music and reading, gets good grades, and has those annoying older sibling that she still loves. But what kind of effect will the band have on Mel and her friends?
