I'd like to say our story started when I was handed the Death Note by the golden, bejeweled Death God, but that's not the true beginning of my story if I'm being honest.
No, my story started years in advance, before this murder book found its way to me. Technically, it started before I was born, really.
You may be wondering, "how can your story start before you were born, Nietzsche?"
Fate, dear witnesses. Fate.
(I don't remember when I started this, but it's not finished, it will probably never be finished, I'm just publishing it out of boredom. Sorry.)
