Tate Callahan has known Lorna and John for as long as she can remember. They're her family and she's theirs. It all started when she met Lorna. Tate, being diagnosed as a psychotic, for assault of a federal officer was put into Lakeview mental hospital as an alternative to prison. The two girls having similar powers, Lorna being able to control metal, and Tate being able to control anything with matter, they instantly hit it off. According to some expert who's able to trace origins, Tate is related to the scarlet witch. How? She doesn't know. Two years later, She and Lorna are inseparable, it's almost as if they're sisters. Tate thought she'd never be rid of that nut house, until one day some woman named Evangeline comes in offering her and Lorna a ticket out. There was a catch though...there's always a catch. This is a story that is about what I think would have happened if Blink never came through her portal at the end of the show. There are new characters, interesting storylines, and many character arcs. After everything, the Mutant Underground has been through somehow it is still up and running. Andy and Lauren are struggling to deal with everything that has happened. Their powers keep malfunctioning. Lorna's stressed, how does someone put a nationwide group back together? Mia and Josh got found out by Sentinel Services. They were found by the Mutant Underground only by chance. Esme is trying to be good, making friends, helping out, but is it enough? New challenges are faced every day. The Inner Circle is still up and running and they are trying to take the underground down in new ways all the time. The Purifiers are still attacking mutants at an increasing rate. Sentinel Services was hunting Mutants and they were getting closer and closer to the Underground. Except this is a what if. so I have changed the outcome of that episode. the Inner circle won and achieved their goal of blowing up the government and starting a mutant homeland. the story takes place a few years after when Dawn the daughter of Marcos and Lorna has chosen to fight back and bring back the mutant underground.
