Rose Quinten is the daughter of an ex-Navy seal turned security for the rich and famous. After a tragic life in England they up and move to sunny California where she meets the bad boy at a party when a guy tried to force himself on her he saves her, keeping her safe in a room they play games all night then things get heated. Rose unknowingly meets the family of the guy she slept with. Rose is in for one hell of an adventure and also gets more than she bargained for in the end. Comments - "I have to say this is a sweet romance that brings the wonders of being a new mom (dad) in to it, Its a romance that id read again (I've already read it a couple of times XD) I love how she (rose) is not like everyone else I've read. Its refreshing, I mean she's strong, hard-headed (at times) And witty. Its funny reading about how she boss's everyone around (in a good way of course) the Adventures. The tell of a girl turning in to the women she is to day. Its breath taking, I'm gonna stop now before I say to much, But its a good book that can make you laugh just as fast as it can make you cry.... "I honestly don't give a fuck! I'm fine on my own and I can deal with it!" I yelled climbing the stairs. "She's top of her class!! She's really nice and would be a great friend! She's only a year older than you!!" He yelled at the bottom of the stairs as I rolled my eyes. "She can go suck a dick for all I care!!" I yelled. I opened my door to see her... "Oh hi... hope you don't mind I was reading through your books. They are nice books. I'm Anna Shumate and glad to be of service." She said as I rolled my eyes and walked passed her. "You have a nice room. May I get your name love?" She asked me and I instantly melted at the name but gather my senses up before she could realize. "My names London Anderson..." I said shyly as she smiled looking at me. "You have a very beautiful name... it's unique and I like it." She said and I smiled. ~~~~~ London Anderson a 21 year old girl who goes to Stanford University in California. After London goes through a divorce by her parents she moves away with her dad to Cali. We all know Maleficent's wrath had once cursed an entire kingdom, a beautiful princess and the Prince that was to save her. Well, this is when you get to know my version of their full journeys, hardships, etc blah blah blah...I shan't bore you with history. So let's get straight to when Maleficent was born, shall we..? The Roamer Family Plantation
About 125 miles off the shores of Galveston, Texas, lies Grandiosia Isle: 300,000 acres of swamp, mountain, jungle, and thick pine forest. It has endured a lot-a blizzard during the early 1200s, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, and in 1875 a forest fire scorched the entire island, rendering it uninhabitable for some time. As a result, the island was nearly devoid of forest life, except for creatures capable of flight, until 1994 when deer and such were reintroduced onto the island. What I'm going to share with you is a paraphrased compilation of journals discovered in chimneys, old basements, and beyond the island as well. I've woven together various segments and made adjustments for clarity and flow. This story is not focused on the Island itself, it is focused on the story and legacy of the esteemed Roamer Family. First arriving in June 1679, they made a mark on the island, but alas, forces removed them. Determined, they attempted a settlement once again, successfully taming the island. It all came to a fiery end in 1875 when the aforementioned fire burnt the island to a crisp, and with the island dead, the Roamer Family's legacy was lost to time.Complete
Waking up to a new reality
Eric was the younger of twelve year old twins, just approaching their thirteenth birthday. Although only six minutes younger than Lauren, she was clearly the alpha character when it came to sibling rivalry; she had an effervescent outgoing personality and exuded confidence in everything that she did. Eric, on the other hand, was introverted and largely lived his life in under the shadow of his sister. That was until Eric was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Admitted to hospital for emergency life-changing surgery. Waking up a different person there was a new-found confidence and optimism that results in a metamorphosis into a life that is far from the shadows. Born out of Covid-19 lockdown, this was conceived as a light-hearted short story to counteract the doom and gloom that was resulting from the pandemic. It grew longer than expected, as I got to know Erin. The story might still be a bit rough round the edges, but I wanted to release it in time for summer vacation reading. There is no violence or hatred, just kindness and acceptance. For those that discount this as unrealistic of the real world, I counter two arguments: 1) It is a complete work of fiction. 2) My son went to Lycee (Senior secondary school) in rural France, where attitudes are generally very conservative. Despite this, there was a girl his his year, who believed she should have been a boy. HE was accepted for who he was, without prejudice. Hopefully it offers a little light reading with a happy ending. Not that the story is set in Scotland and the spelling reflects British convention, perhaps with some Scottish dialect thrown in.Complete![One of Those Rubbish Brits.
