Naruto has come to terms with the fact that he would never be accepted by the people of Kanoha as anything more than a Jinchuriki curse that tainted the good name of the -(unfortunately) alive and prosperous- Fouth Hokage and his family.

Instead of sheltering the broken young boy who was cast out by those who are supposed to love him, the newly retired Lord Third did the one thing he and every Kage before him had done for years; equipping children with weaponry and practically forgetting they existed until they made a name for themselves outside of the ninja academy.

"Ninja protect their villages, therefore it is my job to do so too. But who keeps us safe from the shadows within?"

After the annual Fox Hunt a mutilated Naruto was hospitalized with no chance of survival and, according to his unco-operative doctor, the tailed beast sealed inside the boy was not healing him either. Surprisingly, that information was correct.

For it was never Kurama's intention to heal the boy but to rather change him.

"Kyuu... where the hell did my penis go?! Turn me back to normal damn it, I need to go to the bathroom!!"

"What? Don't look at me like that. Now you can't pull the gender-card to all my sexual advances. Also, I never had a fixed gender, so I don't understand what the problem was to begin with."
