On an edge of a cliff, a girl stood frigid. Her head bowed, locks as golden as the setting sun escaped the warmth of her hood.
The air gently carressed her pale skin. Her cloak rippling as a sudden hard blast of wind went through her as if it really intended to hit her frail frame. But she did not moved an inch.
She was wearing filthy clothes inside her majestic cloak. The cloak seemed so misplaced on her shoulders. With the royal blue color and the velvety feel to it, the intricate silver details embroidered on the sides and the back, and the little crystals embedded on the neckline, it just seemed so out of place on her.
The girl finally decided to move. She looked up, looking at the sun slowly kissing the vast shimmering ocean, muttering words not audible.
"Father, why?"
Her voice carried so much pain and anger that the cruel wind stopped as if to hear her suffer.
As the sun slowly went into the open arms of the sea, a lone tear slowly slid down her cheeks to the grassy land on her feet. Before the last rays of the sun were consumed by the darkness, the girl looked up.
She had bloodshot eyes, tearstained cheeks as if she spent her hours standing on the cliff, just crying. Her face contorted with rage but deep within her, she felt confused and most of all, scared. Scared of what to come. Scared of the future of her own kingdom.
