A dare is all it takes. Elliana Brooks or Eli is the nerd of Mermen High School. Her blond locks, blue eyes, and beautiful features are hidden behind big rimmed glasses. She is smart, humble, beautiful, and not actually a nerd outside of school. She is really a beautiful dancer with an attitude. She has a reason for not showing this side of her. What is that reason? Will she break out of that thick shell? Ashton is the handsome drummer of the band Five Seconds of Summer. He is popular along with Luke, Calum, and Michael, and never really paid attention to Eli. What happens Ashton is dared to ask out the nerd of the school? What happens when the whole school sees her in a new light?

Preview: “I don’t see why you won’t show this to the world. Show them the real you Eli. You deserve to be yourself, not someone who hides behind glasses.” He says softly holding my chin so I was facing him.

“I can’t Ash. I want them to see that I am more than my dancing. I want them to take me seriously.” I said with water beginning to collect in my eyes.

“Eli please, please don’t cry. You are too beautiful to cry. I like you either way. I just want people to see the real you.” He whispered wiping away the tears that fell ever now and again.

“I don’t deserve you.” I whispered looking down at my twiddling thumbs. Ashton sets a hand down on my shaky hands and used his other to have me stare into his eyes.

“I have always felt that that statement was meant to be said by me to you because of how amazing and beautiful you are.” He whispered. He wiped away another tear and brought his lips down to mine.
