Hi, I'm Casper Lewis. My whole world was turned upside down when I found out I had skin cancer at age ten. I distanced myself from my friends, family, I got so bad I was barely around them anyway, I was always stuck in a hospital bed.
When I was able to leave the hospital again, I joined a support group for teens with cancer, set up by the MacMillan charity. I've been there for almost two years now. There's nine of us. Out of the nine of us, none of us have a chance at living past 25 at the latest. Until the summer of 2015, halfway through my first year at the group, a young girl joined, a year younger than me. She brung the group closer together, the guys anyway, the girls do their own thing that this girl didn't want to be apart of.
This new girl, I mentioned her a lot, because she's the one that came up with the 9/10 theory. We're put into groups of ten, and all but one person, won't live past 25. We asked around., and her theory was indeed right. We're still unsure if it's done on purpose.
Anyways, that's why our support group is referred to 9/10. This story is about my journey to a hopeful recovery, and of course, my friends from 9/10. When we're together, we're just normal teenagers.
AN- this is based on true story, I changed the names to protect people's identities.
