Lily :
Has been abused since she was seven for her mother's death by her father. She is now 17, it's been ten years since than. Lily's dad can't handle her anymore, and almost beats her to death.
Jax:
Jax is Lily's best friends older brother, he has always watched out for her, and protected her with out her knowing. Jax knows he was feelings for her but thinks she needs a friend more than she needs a boyfriend so he won't let himself get any closer to her. At least that's what he thought he was doing.

"Hope told me that you where the one that beat that kid up in school for me."
"Which one?"
"There was more than one?"
"Yeah." He said as he came over and sat next to me and leaned his head on his hands.
"Why?"
"Because I knew you where going through something, even if I didn't know what it was exactly. You didn't need to hear all the things they where saying. I know that they didn't know but that doesn't give them free reign to do whatever. You didn't do anything to them, so why do they get to do that to you?"
By this point I was looking at my hand fiddling with my fingers.
"Was that all it was about?"
"No..." I looked up at him. "I just have this urge to protect you from everything. It got so bad one day that I just wanted to pick you up and drive you to the middle of no where so on one could hurt you."
"Wh... What does that mean exactly?"
"That either I need meds or I feel strongly for you." He looked up at me. "Depending on how you feel."
"I don't know right now."
"Which is good, because you shouldn't worry about this, with everything you've been through you just need friends right now"

Saving Hope
saving hope it is about a girl who goes through a number imaginable things. She dealt with the loss of her father and the remarriage she had to go through with an abusive stepfather who drank too much, she had to suffer from anxiety, depression, and ptsd. At first it was a project in middle school that me and four other friends decided to do because we all loved writing and we were learning about the world and all the mess that it was we were learning about all the bad before we got to the good. And we wanted to write about it. I had gotten abused and wrote the main thing happening in the beginning. But as I was writing over the years it took a change. I experienced loss and abuse and I felt like the whole world was crumbling around me and my mind was telling me I was alone. I started to write my story tweaked enough to where no one could tell. I put in things that wouldn't happen in real life but made a good story but the base of it was me. It doesn't have a happy ending but it has a meaning to me. I call it my brain vomit and my novel baby. It isn't perfect but neither am I.
