In a world full of different shifters, the tiger is going extinct. Hunted because of their strength, coats and teeth, one can't expect to meet another tiger in their lifetime.

Kisa Bentley's mother was hunted, killed by hunters and skinned like a wild animal and now all she has is her dad. But after a year of running, death follows.

With no way of protecting his daughter, of teaching her the ways of human and tigers as well, her father decides to let his heart break and leave her at Oken Academy, a school for cat shifters in hopes she'll be safe and at the same time learn.

And she will; especially with a certain tiger, Anzor Edik. First class asshole, closed off and intimidating, the only person Anzor cares about is himself. But Kisa is determined to get under his shell, to learn what tigers really are about and to not be excluded in an entire school of cats.
