Kuthumi has rejected an unfavorable arranged marriage and disgraces her family and her village. She goes into the woods to try to make a new life for herself. After days of wandering, Kuthumi comes upon a beautiful palace, rising like an oasis out of the forests. The Lord of the Palce, Khrishna, sends his servant to invite her in. Very shortly, Kuthumi learns that not only is she a guest, she is allowed to live for as long as she wants in the beautiful palace. To make things even better, she has been assigned a handsome companion, Bopala, to make sure she is never lonely and to introduce her to a whole new life.
