There was silence for a moment, as I realised what I'd just said.

"You possess the rare mutation in your brain that allows telepathic powers - you can read minds, can't you Rainbow."

Rainbow Arcus is always the resident freak of her town - no matter which town she moves to. Besides not being able to shake the name Rainbow, there's something even more freaky about her. Sure, she can read minds, but it's something she's always been able to do - totally normal, right? Rainbow, the outsider all her life, is about to learn that she's not the only one with 'powers', and while she may finally find friends for the first time in her life, there are also enemies to be found out there, waiting and ready to ignite the fire...
