Steve worked long hours at his job as a graphic design executive at Stark Industries. He didn't particularly like his job, but it offered great benefits and even better wages. An added bonus is that he even gets to draw out schematics and blueprints, which complimented the artist inside him. He was honestly just happy that he was able to provide for his seven year old daughter, Tess. Tess was the spitting image of her mother Peggy apart from her eyes which she got from her father.

He was happy... for the most part.

Bucky was a very successful and famous model with brands from Calvin Klein to American Apparel to Ralph Lauren. He was merely 22 years old, yet he has already transitioned out of the middle class lifestyle he had grown up in. He was newly single, as he broke up with his jerk of a boyfriend a few weeks ago. They had only dated foBucky was incredibly proud of himself and the work he had done, but he was still incredibly down to Earth. He lived in a nice building, and he was always very respectful of his neighbors.

"Life is fifty wrong turns down a bumpy road. All you can hope is that you end up somewhere nice." - Punk 57 *I don't own any of the characters except the OCs. Melanie Lovett was a former CIA Agent. She decided it wasn't in the cards for her to keep doing something that didn't bring her joy. She was recruited by Tony Stark, due to her exemplary credentials, to be Morgan's nanny. Melanie decided to take the job on because it was something different and new. She didn't know that's where she would meet James Buchanan Barnes. The man who loved bumping heads with her at any chance he got. The man who killed her father when she was thirteen years old. She hated him ... almost as much as she wanted him. ‼️ Sort of Dark!Bucky in the beginning so if you're not into that then this story might not be for you. ‼️ 〰️ "Why would she be afraid of you?" Nat asked. Something in her tone had changed but I didn't know what it was. "I don't know. I just met her yesterday," I shrugged. "Hm. Well ... I'm gonna go get suited up. See ya," she ran off. What the hell? Some thing wasn't right. She was hiding something. Something about Melanie ... and I was going to find out. She was lying about something. Violence was why I existed. It was who I was. To dominate and submit all those around me. I was a tool, a monster, an enforcer. I'd done it all because it's all I'd known. All I was taught. Somewhere inside I could still feel it. Even after getting the words out. That dark sinister part of me was still there. The caged soldier inside. Something about Melanie would make it come out. Maybe because she might've also had a caged animal inside. I itched to let it out. To let them play. 〰️ Tropes found in book: Enemies to Lovers Grumpy x Sunshine Fake Dating Bodyguard He falls first. She falls harder. ⚠️ MATURE CONTENT: 18+ ⚠️ (Yes, there is smut) Dual POV ❗️Trigger Warnings:❗️ - Language - Abuse/mentions of past abuse - Violence - Drug refere

A Modern Bucky Barnes x OC Story **SMUTS** TW - Lots of BDSM. Sexual content. Sex Work. Death. Violence. You worked for Mr Barnes as his secretary, and had been working for him for the last year. He was obviously the hottest CEO you had worked for. Hell, he was the hottest CEO you'd seen. But you were a professional, and you always kept your distance. You also kept your day job completely separate from your evening activities, being careful not to risk anyone finding out what you liked to do past 8pm. That is, until the two worlds collide. Then, your past also starts to catch up with you. FYI, this is not a typical secretary-CEO story. ---------------------------------------------- "It's a fucking double standard Bucky, and I don't understand why you can't just leave me alone like you leave everyone else alone!" "BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT EVERYONE ELSE!" He yelled suddenly, making your anger disappear instantly. "You are completely different." He added, his voice quieter, but his teeth still gritted. "Why am I different?" You asked, frowning at him in confusion. "You can't seriously be that naive?" He chuckled heartlessly. The anger flared back up. "Listen here Bucky, if all you're going to do is insult me for asking simple fucking questions, then I will walk ou-" Your words were cut off, by Bucky crashing his lips to yours. ---------------------------------------------- #1 in buckybarnessmut #1 in sexualfantasy #1 in jamesbarnes #1 in bucky #1 in samwilson #2 in originalcharacter #2 in originalstory #1 in avengersfanfiction #1 in buckybarnes #1 in buckybarnesxreader #4 in fanfiction #1 in steverogers #4 in alternateuniverse #1 in modernworld

"A gift." One guard says to someone else in the room as he leaves. I groan in pain and scrunch myself into a ball, squeezing my eyes shut. Seconds later I hear shuffling and then someone is beside me. "Y/N?" Asks a voice. No- Bucky's voice. My whole body relaxes and I let out a soft breath. He's ok. ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ Staying together has always been the most important thing to Y/N Rogers. After the death of her mother left her an orphaned 15-year-old, her friendship with her older brother Steve and best friend Bucky mattered more than ever. She latched onto them, finding some bittersweet solace in their closeness. In turn, they finished raising her. The three were inseparable. Even now, six years later, nothing has changed. So when Bucky and Steve both leave to fight in the war the last thing she's going to do is stay in Brooklyn. Nothing's too far if it keeps their trio together. Not leaving everything she knows behind, not shoving down feelings she's refused to acknowledge for years, not even risking her life time and time again. It's the kind of commitment fueled by an infinite amount of love, but guaranteed to end in disaster, every single time. 83 parts Complete Mature
*The story has been edited and revised* Bucky Barnes had finally ran away from HYDRA, but he was in hiding. He was too worried, and a bit scared, to go to his childhood friend, Steve Rogers, so he tried to hide from the blonde as well. Bucky had jumped from place to place for a while, running into HYDRA agents every few months. He was tired of running, and he hoped soon he'd be able to find a place to stay; a place to have somewhat of a home and to finally start remembering who he was and what happened in his life. After a year of being on the run, Bucky decided to hideout in a small town in Ireland. The town had a semi-small population, and the people seemed to mind their own business. He found himself a cheap apartment, number 101, and he was easily able to hide from the world while in the small living area. *************** In apartment 102, lived a woman by the name of Harlow Simpson. Harlow was a sweet girl who moved to Ireland years ago with her brother Wade. Wade had run away from home because he had accidentally had a daughter, Jodie, a few years back. Harlow had decided to move with her brother and his new born daughter, so she could help him take care of her. When Jodie was two, Wade decided to join an underground fight club, but only a year later, he was killed in a scuffle with a man twice his size over a bet. Harlow was given full custody of Jodie, and she and the small child moved to the apartment to get away from all of the sad memories of Wade. Three years later, Harlow and Jodie were surprised to see a man moving into the small apartment next to theirs. The apartment was very small, and from what Harlow seen, the man really didn't have much to move in. Each day, Harlow and Jodie would watch the man leave, only for him to come back with a small bag of fruit. Harlow was determined to help the man, and Jodie was determined to finally make a friend that didn't think she was weird...

Bucky Barnes x reader (This story only has the characters from the MCU and follows some of the same plot. Other than that it's all made up for this story.) Not going to lie. Being the daughter of a famous avenger isn't all that fun. Especially when you're not allowed to actually meet or be apart of anything cool. Tony Stark, my dad, is my favorite person in the world. He does everything to protect me, even if it's too much. Him being so overprotective has kept me from meeting my soulmate. He has his, my mother, Pepper. They both see all the amazing colors in the world, but me, everything, even the skies, are gray. Then, I met him.
