a dirt - poor poet and an art student have been next door neighbors for four years now, living in a nasty little apartment above a bodega in the slums of bustling New York City. They struggle through four years barely making ends meet. They see each other on a daily basis but never openly admit how they felt about each other ... until she breaks up with her deadbeat boyfriend, will he make his move before they graduate and move 500 miles away from one another?

Jess Haynes has it all (or so she thinks). She's got a boyfriend of four years, a house in Lower Manhattan that she really loves, a stable job that may not be the most interesting in the world, but it pays the bills, and she's living and breathing. But when things slowly start to fall apart in her "perfect" world, Jess realizes she was never really happy to begin with. Nate King is a completely different story. He lives in a pretty basic apartment with his best friend, Mark. He tried tons of jobs out of college, but nothing stuck. Now, he spends every day going to the gym, eating and watching television, same shit, different day. And he's tired of it. He wants something new in his life, something exciting. When Nate finally gets a job on the tenth floor of a legal company, a simple glance out the window could lead to the very the both of them are looking for.
