RED (In a World Without Color)

In a world turned grey, power is reserved for those who possess the colors of the rainbow.

In the present, Lanner is an Violet, the most powerful and the most feared color of the Rain. Serving under the notorious Red royal Lex, Lanner strives to keep his city safe from Shade, a dark organization whose magic does not run red, orange, yellow, green, or blue, but a combination of all. Black. It would have been easy if he were only dealing with the Shaded. But when your enemy is really your best friend, it gets much more complicated.

In the past, Zale is a grey, a fourteen-year-old boy devoid of magic and, ultimately, dinner for the colorful. When an average hunt goes awry, Zale is captured and taken to Arcuson city, ruled by the Blue emperor. Only one thing saves him- his age. Taken under one of Arcuson city's nine Princes, Zale must find his color before he turns eighteen, when he is deemed completely colorless and served on a dinner plate.

Thus begins the story of two boys who will brave friendship, foes, themselves, and, in the end, each other.
