(DISCLAIMER: Since I have not watched Sonic X in a while, I'm going to be using the game canon in this story with the term Overlander from the comics. Sorry about that!)

After a little mishap with one of Tails' inventions, a fight with Dr. Eggman, and a Chaos Emerald, Sonic the Hedgehog finds himself in a new world with new beings, new foes, and new allies. In Dreamland, Sonic meets some new friends; Tiff, a smart and witty young girl, her little brother Tuff, and a so-called 'Star Warrior' named Kirby, along with some other inhabitants of Dreamland. But the king of Dreamland, King Dedede, isn't too pleased with this blue pincushion's arrival, and now Sonic must fight with Kirby against eNeMeE and Dedede's hordes of monsters. What will happen? Well, that's why you're reading this now, right?

So, with little energy she has left, she summoned a portal ring to another dimension and gave Kenji the 7 Chaos Emeralds for him to guard now and pushed him inside the ring, having it close before his eyes. That was the last time Kenji saw Longclaw and the poor kid was heartbroken beyond repair. Many years later, Kenji was living his life as he was adopted by a female older hedgehog, making her his very own mother. Kenji moved on from the past, but it's still a sensitive topic to bring up. Kenji became a pretty strong hedgehog over the years, thanks to his mother. Kenji wanted to look for new adventures to begin as he left his home in search for one and what's better to start an adventure with an old friend he met a few years back.
