Back when the world was free, everyone was able to do whatever they pleased without anyone saying no. That was until the government gained a leader that wasn't pleased with what little power he had. He soon took over the government, the states, North America and lastly the world. To be sure that controlled everything, he decided to choose who could fall in love and who could not, who could live and who died, who ate and who didn't. But when there is a leader, there is always a band of people who goes against the leader. They were known as The Rebels. But I'm getting ahead of myself. 

This here is about me, Kelsey. And me, Kolten. This is our journey, and we are here to tell you how our lives got split in two.

This is book 2 of a 9 book series. The first 8 will be different stories about each character. The last story will tell the ending of each character and if they survived.

But a new leader came out of the ashes and proclaimed they would consider the apocalypse a "rebirth" and proceeded (with his advanced engineering) to clear radioactivity from America and make it livable again. With the help of his crew, he builds a high security city and begins to build out past the east coast. Shortly after he rebuilds NY, he disappears and his advisor rises to power. He is a fair but cruel master (calling himself a Lord) and some people refuse to work for him. These people manage to escape the oppression of the Lord and live out on the wasteland that was once a great country. Some band together to make right communities and others rough it out by themselves, scavenging for a living.
