This is a future fic/one-shot written for @Fanfic's current contest (as on January 2018). The premise of the contest is to write a short story surrounding the child of one of the main characters from a series - for this story, my character's parents are Jacob Portman and Emma Bloom (now Emma Portman) from the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children trilogy. This is an idea I've wanted to do for a while, so I'm glad this opportunity came along. I hope everyone enjoys!
