John Wick has had his own doubtful past, serving many military positions as well an armed guard, bouncer, hunter, and hired gun. He was well educated in many different dialects, out ranking most linguists. There wasn't any reason to be afraid of John, unless you insulted Baba Yaga to his face; then you needed to run like hell and hide yourself away where no one, not even Wick, could find you. And good luck even if you made it out the front door in the morning to fetch your newspaper, escaping one of his bullets was a near impossible task, and John hardly ever plays with his food.
