Kára Sigvarddóttir is the daughter of Earl Sigvard of Hedeby and Lagertha, a Shieldmaiden and the ex-wife of Ragnar Lothbrok. Close to both her mother and half-brother, Bjorn, she accompanies them when the go to Kattegat to help Ragnar reclaim his land. She grows close with Ubbe and Hvitserk, the oldest son's of Ragnar, and when it is time for her to return home, she decides to stay with Bjorn.
