Just my take on Jathea and Jade finding out that Althea has been beaten up while still in the States. It's a sad story but I just had to push it out and write it. Feedback is appreciated.

Too Stubborn To Be Broken
So just to warn you, this is one of my first attempts at writing. It starts off a little cliché in a 'too good to be true' sort of way, but hang in there. There's a twist or 2 that might surprise you. I wrote this before The Healer series and wasn't going to publish it, but 'my support group' really thought I should. Her mother had died when Jade was born. And it tore her father apart. He now sat at home. Drinking alcohol anytime she saw him. To add to the trauma, her father also beat her. Almost every night. For years since she turned ten. She was a very troubled girl. It wasn't her fault.
