Hearing the growls and feeling the upturned dust on her face, Lila knows Fang has risen and is alive. With the thought, she smiles, knowing the fury from the Vasile's and surely, the end of her time with them wasn't all in vain.
The guards are tossed, some ripped apart, in a split second. Fang's neck was covered in its own blood, the life source trails the ring wherever he went. The custom gown Lila wore is covered in dirt and the animal's blood, but she couldn't care less.
Instead, she stared up at the scene in awe of the vengeance the animal takes on those who contributed to his suffering.
After the wolf had killed every last security guard, it turned to her and slowly approached. It huffed, casting out blood, dirt, and slobber.
The human girl prepared for the worst, closing her eyes as it got within reach. She waited for Fang to turn on her.
When several moments passed and the creature only continued to stare down at her, she truly looked into the warm eyes of the wolf. It lowered itself to the ground warily, watching her with fading life.

I told him with creased brows wondering why we were wasting time. 'By getting yourself killed? Is that your idea of helping?' his deep eyes shot daggers at me. 'I don't care! This is my fight too?' 'I will rip everyone's throat with my bare hands before I let anyone touch you.' he hissed his eyes a deep shade of grey that they were almost black. Nothing could compare to the way her gaze made me feel. The flames licking my skin and the raging fire in my veins was way more bearable. I shuddered. It had never been so dark, nor so quiet before. There was always the light of the moon to guide me. The sound of the wind against the trees. I shook the thought from my mind and continued further into the wood. Then I saw it. A white light spread across the ground in front of me. The clouds had parted from where they were, revealing the moon at its fullest. I stared in awe. It had never been so bright. The ambiance began to come back. The wind began to dance with the trees. I wanted this moment to last forever. Until I saw the wolf. It was hidden among the fold of trees behind me. It stared at me in aggravation. It's brows furrowed in my direction. It's face, livid with anger, revealed a set of unpleasant and sharp teeth. It began to move slightly forward. The wolf bounded towards me. It happened so quickly I had no time to react. It's limbs outstretched. It's teeth bared. My body, paralyzed from fear, refused to move. My lip quivered, urged to call for help, but no help would come. I was too deep into the woods. Because we weren't human, and we didn't live in the darkness, and so we were attacked from both sides, always having to look for an escape route. So I snapped, and instead of running towards the door like I knew I should have, I threw a punch that was supposed to land in his rib cage, hopefully breaking a few and causing enough internal damage that he would be down for a while. But that didn't happen, because once that punch was thrown my attacker grabbed my wrist and threw me against the wall and stabbed me with a stake that ripped right through my red skull kitty tank top and cut into the flesh that covered my heart. As her finger just barely grazed the animal, multiples things happened. She felt something shock her causing her to pull her hand back, just as thunder and lightning sounded. When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened.
