This is their story. The story of four children.Ezra,Eleanor,Brooke and Mauricia were four poor Jewish children who were hidden by the Balkhamer family from 1941-1946,when the Holocaust was in process. In that time they met the daughter of the Balkhamers,Lucy. She was a snobby, unrefined, hurtful and intolerant girl who was furious because those Jews were risking there lives. But eventually, they would grow a friendship. The five's story is unique, and the five learn the true meaning of friendship and family,as they develop kindness, humbleness, love, friendship and the will to put aside their differences, something the Nazis couldn't do.Read the story and inmerse yourself in the romance, suspense, friendship, and brotherhood(or sisterhood) of these five special children.

When they were young he made a promise to her. Then the war tore them apart. As battles rage all over Europe all they have left are the memories of each other and the promise he made. When fate throws them together once again, it will take all the strength of one and the hope of the other to try and defeat the odds. In the very pit of brutality, death, and misery a love story dares to bloom. But can it survive?
