"The year is 2044, It's been a month since Emblem Direct made the shocking announcement to the globe that they were taking over, us at the centre of it all. Emblem Direct called for a world game of free for all between the 100 Souls that currently possess the "Phenomenon" weapons.
Anyone of us who dies gets their home city destroyed by satellite lasers that are currently orbiting the earth. Anyone who doesn't fight the other users will be killed slowly in the most brutal manner. We've found a way to cheat that part of the system but we can't keep fighting ourselves forever. We've lost good people along the way, War... Templeton... We won't let them die in vain though.

This is the beginning of the end. Not for us. But for Emblem Direct. Inia Signing off."

Without warning it began! The inevitable, I think it's fair to assume this book is not in my possession. This means I'm most likely dead. Most nights I wrestle the reason I have chosen to explain what happened, the things we did to each other, things no human being should witness. I Wright this simply to enlighten your poor soul and give you more of a chance than I had. A chance to survive what is most likely the brink of human extinction. Times are harder now and as the days go by we are less of our former selves. We have become husks floating around in a lost, desolate world. I look at this place and it still seems so alien to me, as the days roll into the nights I'm still unsure of how we got to this point. If you are reading this, you too are probably North and very much aware of what has happened to our beloved city. I feel a responsibility to inform you that you will most likely share the same fate as I have. I understand you may be wondering what's worse than death, trust me in this place death seems like a paradise compared. I do not know why I still feel so obligated to write this. To be honest most nights I think its just an escape from the madness, like a natural sedative it's the only way I can fall asleep in this hell. However I do need to clear my conscious and pay dividend for my demons. I need you to know what happened to me; I need you to know what we have become and what we are capable of. I need you to know why we have chosen to kill each other, why the smell of human flesh lingers in the air like slow roast pork on a Sunday afternoon. Why bodies litter our streets. Why things that seemed to be so impossible happen in front of our very own eyes. Why conformity i this place is the unreal ideas people live their lives by and why I was included into this group of youthful abominations. All of this might be irrelevant compared to what I am about to tell you.

Worker Drones are sentient robots created by a company called JcJenson with the purpose of revolutionizing multiple work fields. Let it be mining, transporting, or other types of services, these drones could (probably) do it. This was great for humans! A nine to five would quickly become a ten to four, while keeping, if not even increasing the pay. Yes, they were abused, but who would complain about it if it's just so goddamn profitable?! No one. No one would willingly go back to their nine to five. Only a small minority would speak out against it, seeing the worker drones as more than just objects to be used. If only everyone knew that humanity's behavior would also become its downfall... And then there is Y/N. A normal human, living in Germany. His strength is "computer stuff", as people call it, by which they mean coding. He also has other specialty's, like being lazy, the ability to have an excuse for (almost) everything, and staying undetected and blending into a crowd to a certain degree. Little does he know his life will quickly change because of a quirky australian girl and a group of silly drones. (Murder Drones is a YouTube series made by Liam Vickers and Glitch productions. If you're reading this book, I expect you to have watched it. If you haven't, go do it now. It's a great show, and free on top of that. Cover is made by me with MediBang Paint Pro, using pictures from sites like the Murder Drones Wiki, Logopedia and screenshots from episode 6.)

However, the massive impact of the meteor is so powerful, that despite redirection, explodes huge, which causes the radioactive rock, to burn everything within a one hundred-mile radius, destroying the facility, and leaving Aaron and his team to be presumed dead. Forty-two years later, now in 2076, Austin along with James and Julia emerge from the now empty and inactive cryogenic pods, which kept them alive, and not aging at all. However, the world as they know it is in turmoil. With technology and machines becoming sentient, and taking over the world, most of the planet is now a dry and barren desert wasteland, with seventy-give percent of human population now extinct. Austin and his friends see, they are now pitted against strong malicious AI and evil machines, along with mutated former human creatures that succumbed to the gamma rays in the atmosphere. Along with acceleration in climate change, and technological progress, humans are now reduced to smaller settlements to survive and battle for resources. EXTRACT FROM BOOK: I don't know how to live anymore. With everyone I care about dead, all I can do is focus on Survival finding Food, Fresh Water and Keeping away from the dangerous groups of Reluquos. After the Disease that killed off the Majority of the world finally deceased it left the world a Hostile and Dangerous place. With approximately 2,500 people left in America and 15,000 left in the world, it isn't often you come across someone just passing by, there are three main groups that stick together The Beati, who are the apocalyptic version of a hippy, The Operarios Group (just normal people trying to survive), and then of course The Reluquos the power hungry killers who execute anyone who try's to get in their way or disagrees with them. Oh and then there are just the Loners like me hoping to find somewhere they can fit in and belong. I don't know what made me go this route but for some reason I did and now I'm standing face to face with a Reluquos Army Leader. His strong arm grips onto my Shoulder stopping me from moving, He regards me coolly studying my face for signs of fear, which I'm trying my damned hardest to suppress. Finally he talks....
