She walked towards him in rage and fury, tears streaming down her face while shouting profanities towards the one man who let her fall. He stood in front of her, face emotionless, not doing anything to stop the mad woman coming on to him. She was tired, broken, scared. She no longer stared at his emotionless face; instead she looked behind him to the window showing the long dark cityscape of the New York City streets. Thoughts rushed through her mind quickly, wonders of what ifs? She looked back to the man who stood in front of her, pushed his chest hard one last time and looked him in the eye before muttering three words of realization that would leave a never-ending mark on the man. “You are ruthless.” She muttered with an unsteady voice and walked away, breaking both of their promises.
