The last thing anyone expects in Nanba Prison is an apocalyptic outbreak of a mysterious and lethal virus which quickly overruns the prison, forcing the survivors to flee for their lives. But in the midist of escaping, they all end up getting separated.
Each group, unknowingly, unanimously decides to head to the mainland. But upon each of their arrivals, their fears are quickly confirmed.
Although zombies are the least of their problems, each group struggles to survive this new world and each other. And being divided does not help.
One group struggles to survive with the lack of supplies and is caught between a rock and a hard place when a familar face arrives warning them of the dangers that lay not too far ahead.
Another group endures the onslaught of zombies with a looming herd coming in on the horizon. Their only hope is a problematic man who may be their key to surviving the herd and reuniting with the others. That is if he doesn't get them killed first.
And the last group is forced to deal with rising tensions with gangs of rogue survivors. However, one gang in particular may be able to help them... if they can get their act together.
In a world where order is lost and it's go big or go six feet under, the Nanba cast must be able to overcome their differences to find their missing comrades, navigate a dead world, find answers to questions that only spur on more questions, and most importantly, survive.
What will become of the survivors as they face Armageddon?
And who are the dysfunctional members of the rogue group? And how are they tied to Jyugo?

"Coming from a woman, whenever we get out of here, do you think other girls are going to like me?" Jyugo posed in front of you, trying to emphasize his good qualities.
"We've already been through this! You're too lazy, can't find a job, horrible at everything, don't have a basic education. . ." Uno continued to list his bad traits until Jyugo threw a magazine at him.
"Be quiet! I'm asking (y/n)." Jyugo looked back at you expectantly, only for the situation to backfire at him.
"Yeah, no. Uno's right. You've got stubby legs, poor social habits, and no sense of romance at all." You continue where Uno left off, getting an audible 'hah!' from him across the room.
"That's okay though, because I'll always have you. Right?"
