After the death of her mother, Austen moves from rural Ohio to the bustling beach life of California; a place where dreams are suppose to come to life. She quickly befriends Millie, partier and outgoing sweetheart, who pressures her into a fix-up relationship with Dylan Johnson; drool-worthy eye candy. Stuck between alluring Dylan who Millie hooked her up with or a sexy rest-stop stranger who just so happens to be her historical teacher, Austen battles her worries of what's right and wrong.
