"Do you ever just look at the stars and contemplate?" Tyler questioned, still looking up at them. The tint of the orange fairy lights shadows his pale skin. I nod slightly and shift my gaze to where he is looking. "All the time." He's silent for a couple seconds. "You know, they're all dead, all dead balls of gas. I like to think about that a lot because it reminds me of us. In history multiple times we never appreciated things well they were still alive. It was always after they'd passed and couldn't continue making what they did..." he reaches for my hand, he turns his face towards me and I do the same. His brown eyes soften from his usual tough glare. His lips curve down. For the first time, this whole summer he's finally let his guard down."Josh" he says in almost a whimper. "I don't want to be a star" a tear rolls down his face. I grab his hand and smile. "I won't let you...I've decided I'm joining the band Tyler. And I promise you that we will be something to celebrate. He smiles and cries. "Thank you so much josh, you don't understand how hard it's been" I hug him. He cries into my chest.
