I felt like I understood the stars. Confined to the night, they were empty reminders of the sun, trying to recreate that which the sun took from them. Trying and always failing to live up to the overbearing onlooker that was the sun they wanted to appease. But the sun never even looked at them, never cared, always shunning them and the moon alike. I did not like it when the stars were not out, for it made me feel as if even they were no longer wanted...
