Jordan Peters was your typical cliche high school athlete. She was the best at every sport she ever played. She had prestigious colleges looking at her. She even had a membership at the local gym and (of course) she was dating the star quarterback at Lockhaven, her high school. What could possibly go wrong? She had everything she could ever want. Sadly, this meant she had so much more to lose.

To everyone, Jordan and her football star boyfriend, Tanner, were the perfect couple. Everyone wanted them to win the 'cutest couple' spot in the yearbook. That's even what Jordan had thought for the first couple of months too. Until her 'perfect' boyfriend's anger became more explosive and he took it out on her. You would think Jordan would fight back, but he had something on her. Something that could cost Jordan virtually everything.

Jordan had lost all hope until she met your everyday leather jacket wearing bad boy (don't forget cigarette smoking). Jaxson was Jordan's way out. Jaxson had seen right through Jordan's facade. He knew she was in hell. He offered to help her get out of her situation, but only if she pretended to be his girlfriend after he got her out. What could possibly go wrong?

His body snaps towards me; his normally bright eyes are dark and full of emotion and his face is hard with anger. "Why didn't you tell me?!" Danny exclaims, making me flinch. "I'm so sorry, I thought-" I sob and his hands wrap around my wrist and yank. "You thought what?!" More hot tears go down my face. "I-" "You thought that I wouldn't care? That I wouldn't understand? Why can't you get it through your thick skull that I will ALWAYS care about you Nida?!" Suddenly, Danny's lips are crashed into mine. ••• Nida Vargas has been through hell and back trying to look out for her family and take care of herself at the same time. "You just have no idea." His voice was thick with restraint. "W-what," I breathed. His gaze flicked to my lips as his thumb stroked again. The calloused pad against my soft flesh sent goosebumps down my arms. His once warm eyes were dark as they lifted and bared into my soul. "What you do to... men." His husky whisper weakened my knees. I almost fell but his other hand settled on my hip, pulling me closer to him. "What you do to me," he added on a breath. The hand on my jaw shifted. His fingers left trails of tingles as he slipped them back slowly, under my earlobe and into my curls. *************************************************** As a young girl, Charlotte Avery's favourite pass time was daydreaming about her Prince Charming: Archer Johnson. After graduation she will fly to New York to study law at NYU, leaving her family behind and start her independent life. When she is pulled into her highschool's crush's love-life problems, she finally understands why falling in love with him was a bad idea. But she doesn't know that Jordan had noticed her from day one. *** PREVIEW into chapter 8 I climb up the stairs and find myself in a long corridor what spread to two directions. Matt's bedroom was on the east wing so I turn to my left and walk toward the last door in the end. But before I can reach half way, a door on my right opens and out runs Jordan. We bump into each other. "What the..???" I steady myself, grabbing his jacket and prevent myself from falling backward. "Run!" He says. "What?" I release him. "Run," he grabs my hand and starts pulling me with him. "Why would I...?" I turn around while I'm dragged toward the stairs and see Tiffany, all angry and face cherry red come throw the door Jordan had exited a minute ago. "You dirty bitch!" She yells at the top of her lungs as she sees me, Jordan's hand still gripes me. Amazing cover by @uniqueread.
