But before all was erased, one young High Elf Mage, the son of the Dragonborn was buried and frozen beneath High Hrothgar. He slept there for millions of years. Until the buried ruins of High Hrothgar, were uncovered once more. And a Dragonborn could rise, again.

Deirdre Morningsong returns to Skyrim seeking vengeance on the Nords who murdered her parents, only to be captured by Imperial soldiers who mistake her for a Stormcloak rebel. After escaping both the Imperial dungeons and the destructive return of the dragon Alduin, she resolves to discover what strange power is within her, and what the dragons have to do with it. Follows the main quest lines of the game, weaving them into a story of adventure and romance, with numerous twists on the canon. I'm hoping it's equally enjoyable for those who've played the game and those who haven't. Trigger warnings: rape is mentioned, one is attempted and prevented, but none are completed. Some other sexual assault. The first chapters are PG-13, but later ones become R-rated. (Feedback on appropriate ratings appreciated.) Skyrim is part of the Elder Scrolls series of games, copyright by Bethesda Softworks. The image for the book cover is from the game. I've worked in nonfiction up to now because it's easier for me to describe places and events I can experience first-hand. This story is slow to start, I'll admit that, but the meat of the story is far faster if you give it a chance. I've been working on this since February of 2023, and I've put a lot of heart and soul into this story and these characters. All reads, comments, and saves mean the world to me.
