Imagine The Capitol wins the war. Prim, Peeta, Haymitch, and Katniss' mother are kidnapped. Katniss is forced to work for the Capitol or else her loved ones would be killed. Gale escapes into the wilderness with some of his friends in hope to find help, meanwhile a new hero emerges, binding everything and everyone into his journey.
Also, this is my first story, I will be posting only short chapters and only when I know people are reading it. So please remember to one up my story and share it among your friends.

The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination.
