Essendra was an inexperienced adventurer. She'd found a good party to join and was easing her way into an occupation very different form the one she knew. Then disaster claims her friends and she barely escapes with her life.
What she found during that desperate escape was a very strange object. A weapon, but one that breaks all the rules. It shouldn't, by rights, even exist.
She doesn't know what it is, nor where it came from. She just knows that it's her best chance to put things right.
It's going to change the world.
