Tord has been taken from his abusive mother. Hes been put into an orphanage and doesn't know that much english, which makes it hard for him. He doesn't talk much to anyone except a boy named Tom, who also lives at the orphanage since his parents were both killed. Tord talks so little, that even when they grow up to be in high school, he still can't talk well and has an accent, even though he has lived in Britain for 12 years. He's also been given the name "Mute" since nobody ever heard him talk. At one point, he is forced to talk, and things only get worse.

After the robot incedent with Tord, Tom can no longer deal with the guilt of a dead person on his hands. He soon swallowed by the darkness and despair breaking him piece by piece until he is broken beyond repair. Death is the only option in his mind as he jumps from a high cliff over water. But to his unfortunate surprise he is saved. By whom? Non other than the Cause of his Depression. This is not a happy story and has very high levels of mature content. Viewer disgression is advised. Tom is a deaf, a loner and people think he's weird because he cannot speak well. He got teased whenever he spoke and had to transfer to a new school. People wonder who this new kid is. -and why doesn't he speak? //warning, I've realized I can't make a book friendly. some chapters will be wholesome, but some will not.
