Arya Durand met Raven Reyes when she was eleven years old during a course in Earth Skills. The two became best friends shortly and took care of each other. Arya was a bit younger than her best friend, but the two both carried fire and pain from their family, which caused their bond to be stronger than any other bond Arya has had. She was thirteen when she discovered she had feelings for a boy in her class, Finn Collins. He had shoulder length hair, a smile that could melt anyones heart, and he was overall a great person.

Arya was never good at handling feelings, so she ignored it. But ignoring lead her to watch as her best friend fell in love with him. Each time the couple would kiss or hold hands, Arya could feel her heart breaking a little bit more than usual, but she stayed quiet. The only way she could talk about her feelings was in her diary that she wrote in nearly everyday.

At the age of sixteen Arya found herself to be arrested and locked up in a small, gray and cell until she would reach the age of eighteen and be held at trial. The Council were playing the Gods and would determine her fate. She was expecting death, but what she got was a one way trip down to Earth.

It's easy to ignore feelings when you're away from each other for so long, but now she has to handle seeing Finn Collins heart warming smile every day.
