As I walked outside to wait for the bus the air was heavy with humidity. It was raining a light, steady rain and the sky was overcast. It matched my mood perfectly. It was a Monday after all. After a few minutes of waiting, the bus pulled up, it's brakes sqeaking, in all of its glory. As I walked on to the bus, my feet squeaking with every step I made, I looked around and saw that all the seats were empty. Not surprising, as I had the first stop of the morning. I sat in a seat in the middle of the bus. Seat number 14 is what it said above the window. It was my usual spot. As the bus chugalugged down the street, I could see one lonely person standing out in the rain. It was him.
