My Guardian Spirit

August is a sixteen year old boy from a village shrine. After his mothers passing and his father leaving the village, he is taken in by the village guardian as a servant for the guardians use at a young age. August couldn't talk to many people because of his inability to speak, he could sign and write a little but many people couldn't understand what his hand movements meant. What happens when he goes into town by himself to get supplies and gets kidnapped instead? Will he be able to get the attention of others around him, or will his silence lead him to disappear unannounced?
