Moving into a new town is tough, especially if you do it every year.
But I'm used to it. Coming in and coming out. Nothing's new.
This time, it's right before my senior year and we're headed for Cayucos, California.
I hated it. The students would stare at me with judging eyes and 'freak' sitting on their tongue, waiting for the right moment to hiss at me.
I thought I was the only one, but I wasn't.
I saw him, alone, sitting behind the outside track bleachers.
We are both loners, I thought.
Wouldn't it just be easier if we became friends?
Guess not.
