When 16 year old, orphan, Tara begins recieving letters from a secret admire she begins to feel as if she is in love. When Tara's "sisters" Katie and Kathrine find out about this they begin to blackmail her. Tara's bestfriend Wyatt always gets abused and harrased when he's at her house yet he continues to go? Tara also constantly recieves letters from Rome, but from who? Before she can even open any of the letters her "father" takes them away and locks them up.

"Why must I live in a life were I get beaten, abused, harrased, and forced to clean every corner of this huge house" I whisper into my phone knowing that I would get beaten to death if they heard I was on my phone past curfew "Also to include the fact that I'll never be beautiful like your sister."
