After a not-so-great past with the Alpha, Ava Smith is esctatic that he'll finally find a girl that will hopefully stop his cocky, man slut ways on his 18th birthday. One thing she didn't expect? To be that girl.

Hunter and Ava have a mutual dislike for eachother, for a reason unknown to everyone but the two of them. When Hunter recognizes Ava as his mate, they both immediately shoot down the idea and try to part ways.

Fate always has other plans.

During a heated yelling match between the two, Hunter tries to silence Ava by kissing her, thinking that because they're mates she'd instantly fall to his feet and worship him like the rest of the school. Ava slaps him a promptly declares she'll get him back. How?

By grabbing him and kissing him senseless in a janitors closet the next day.

And so, just like that, the two start a new game. The ultimate prize? To get the other person to admit defeat and beg them to accept the other as their mate.

Poor Ava, doesn't she know Alpha's love a challenge?
