This story is based in a future when science discovered the existence of magic during the 2000's. Unfortunately, humans abused the power and, much like the time they discovered of nuclear, almost destroyed the world. Now the human culture has developed in a different way. Magic is feared and mostly ignored, science is carefully using its 'steampunk' themed engines and the fashion matches these mediocre machines.
Diana is a young woman who feels trapped by her live. Despite the sweet attentions of her much older husband she simply cannot be happy. One day an article in a newspaper draws her to Sycamore's Bookstall.
