Iris Mitchell's life takes a dangerous turn. She figures out she is not normal, but a girl with superhuman abilities. 
She becomes part of a community of people who are just like her. It doesn't last long though. She gets captured by a group of people who want to get revenge upon these "versatile" beings and experiment on them. Iris must survive long enough to escape.
Along the journey, Iris learns to love, how to control her powers, and she learns the power of trust.
