The name Emma means universal, so it makes sense that Emma Deeley is a universal superstar on youtube. What none of her fellow youtubers really know, is what she looks like, where she lives, or any other personal information. She uploads a new video every week, but the only thing that is actually a part of her on the videos is the voice. She puts videos together of the song lyrics, and pictures of her ex- best friend.
Nathan has just moved to the small town of Muskego from Chicago. There are a lot of people in this miniscule town who seem to be obsessed with youtube, so he searches. He comes across one of the videos Emma uploaded, and immediately figures out that the voice in the videos doesn't belong to Char, as the majority of the school believes they do. Nathan makes it his mission to find the girl the angelic voice belongs to, but this proves to be a much harder task than he expected.
