Netra Conison lead a simple life with her mother and sibling, Matt. Her dad had disappeared when she was five and she hadn't given him much thought until he suddenly appeared in a dream telling her to get ready for a trip. Suddenly Netra finds herself falling from magical giant birds, training to defend herself against griffins, talking to people through her mind, and gaining a handsome but irritating new fighting partner. She is just starting to get used to her new life when suddenly her father ships her off to his palace, where he turns out to be the lord of part of this new magical country.
