A strange illness broke out about 5 years ago making humans grow flowers along their body.  Those who had flowers were called florals.  For some it is very contagious while others can't pass it on.  Those who can pass it on tend to stay in hospitals to help treat it, though there is no absolute cure for it while there is possible treatments.  A person's flowers vary and it is rare to find someone walking around with flowers.  It is rare to find someone that has noncontagious flowers.
    
    Eren Yeager is an openly gay 19 year old art major at Maria College, who is in fact, a floral.  But not just any floral, the first floral.  Doctors and scientists do test to try to find out what caused it or how it exactly occured.  Nobody knows that he was the first except for his close family and friends who grew up with him.  
    
    Eren has flowers growing over his eye causing him to have poor vision.  Like others, flowers will effect the person's life.  Some have flowers in their ears, reducing their hearing.  Others have flowers internally, like in their lungs, effecting breathing.  Some have it in their hair or all over their body.  Sometimes they don't effect health, when they do it can be dangerous.
    
    Eren meets another floral, by the name of Levi Ackerman, his roommate.  Levi has flowers on his back, or from his shoulder to his back.  A new love forms and their lives change for the better.
