A TiMER is a little machine that tells you when you will meet your soul mate, it's just a little screen that goes in your wrist with the remaining time for you to meet your other half, true love, soul mate or any way you want to call it.

My name is Sloan, I am 16 years old, I've always lived in a pirate ship in never land and my timer says that I will meet my soul mate in three days.
