Once upon a time in a world where werewolves didn't 'have true mates.' Yes, I'm am very serious right now. Along time ago the elders decided that mates were just too much. With the rise of technology and rejections they passed a new law. One that stated that the males may choose a mate they wanted or a female. It is written in this law that the alpha always got first pick. There is still the whole you know bite on the neck thing but I think that is way overrated too. Back to my story see I didn't have the bad past or the abusive family; but me I am special (at least that is what my family keeps telling me.) The alpha of our pack choose me. Why? Will I don't even know.
